Hosted by the TCML-Chi-Yuan Education Centre, this inauguration marks a significant expansion of Taiwan’s Mandarin education in New Zealand and a new chapter in cultural exchange between the two nations.

The ceremony was presided over by Dr. Chia-Ching Hsu, Minister of the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC). Minister Hsu emphasized that TCML provides high-quality Mandarin learning featuring traditional characters and Taiwan's unique cultural heritage. Director-General Chen Yung-shao of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Auckland praised Chi-Yuan Education Centre for its 25 years of dedication to local education and mainstream community engagement.
